Mt. Kazbek
Under most interpretations of Greek theological lore, Mount Kazbek is one of the larger mountains in the Khokh Range, north of the Greater Caucasus. It was here that the Behemoth of Flame was chained for all eternity for his notoriously loose lips. Simultaneously, the mountain exists on the Island of Rhodes, where the Behemoth of Flame had been chained for centuries, in line with other, conflicting interpretations of Greek theological lore. Topologists, theologians, anthropologists and general thinkers have been trying to untangle this causal knot for decades. Some theories include:
- The sun god moved the mountain to Rhodes, as he is the patron god of the island. Potential motives range from a desire to impress the lord of the gods by adding heatstroke to the Behemoth’s torment, to a twisted adoration of the Behemoth for his knowledge of fire, which is a fragment of the sun
- The result of a divine cataclysmic earthquake, along the same lines as the Flood Paradox
- The Behemoth was moved after a forgotten escape attempt to a location surrounded by water. The chains were so bound to the mountain that it was moved as well.
- We just don’t know.
